We email your pet's portrait within 2 business days of your order. Reply to approve it, or tell us what to change and we'll revise it at no extra cost. Nothing is woven until you approve.

No photo yet? Tick "send a photo after checkout" and reply to your order confirmation with it. Your proof timing starts when we have the photo.

Shipping and delivery

Free standard shipping to the 48 contiguous states and Washington, DC. We can't ship to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories or APO/FPO addresses yet.

After you approve your proof, most throws arrive in 5–10 business days. We'll email tracking when it ships. These are estimates, not guarantees, and December is busier.

Cancellations and replacements

Cancel for a full refund any time before you approve your proof. Because each throw is made to order for you, we can't accept change-of-mind returns once it's woven.

If your throw arrives damaged or with a weaving defect, email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll replace it.

The pets, throws and clips shown are samples we made to illustrate the product, not customer orders or customer videos. Your throw is woven from the proof you approve. Woven pictures are softer than a screen, and yarn colors can differ a little from your proof.

Woven, not printed

Made of thread, not ink.

Most custom pet blankets are printed onto fleece. Ours is jacquard-woven: the picture is built from colored yarns as the throw is made, so it has real texture and a reverse side that shows the weave.

What kind of photo works best?

A clear, well-lit photo where you can see their eyes and whole head. A normal phone photo is perfect. Skip heavy filters, and if there are several pets in the shot, tell us which one.

Is it really woven?

Yes. It's a jacquard weave: the picture is formed by colored yarns as the throw is made, not printed onto the surface. Woven pictures are softer than a screen, so very fine details simplify and colors can differ a little from your proof.

How do you make the portrait?

We create each portrait digitally from your photo, simplifying shapes and colors so they weave cleanly. A person checks every proof before it's sent to you, and you can ask for changes.

Can I order for a pet who has passed?

Yes. Send your favorite photo, even an old or imperfect one, and tell us anything you'd like us to get right. We'll take care with it.

Can I put two pets on one throw?

Not yet. Each Portrait Throw features one pet. For two pets, order a throw for each.

Is it a good gift?

We think so. If it's a surprise, add the recipient's shipping address at checkout and a note in your cart. If you need it by a date, tell us before you order and we'll be honest about timing.
